I folded this origami butterfly with a page taken from a magazine. On one side was the picture of a leafless tree and the reverse side was black. What I liked about the model folded from this piece of paper was the way the tree’s dark branches became the patterning on the white wings of the butterfly.
This origami model was designed by Michael LaFosse.

how very very beautiful! and inspiring! been thinking about trying origami & was googlinig, feeling a little overwhelmed. but now, looking at your creations, I want to try. thanks!

I am happy you feel inspired. Origami offers many possibilities and you can start by making basic, but beautiful folds. In the practice of origami, there is room for everybody.
