About Jason
Jason Schneider grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, and currently lives in Ann Arbor. He is a CPA and works in financial reporting for the University of Michigan.
In elementary school, one of his teachers, Mr. O’Brien, taught his class a few traditional designs, and from there, Jason was hooked! In college, he leaped into designing his own birds, flowers, and animals. When not folding paper, he can be found on the volleyball court, in the gym, at the bowling alley, or researching his next meal prep.
Jason likes to fold on the go, and is almost always folding in the air without any table nearby, or “Yoshizawa-style” as some class participants have called it. He was a lone folder for a long time, and did not interact or share his work with the origami community until he decided to start giving back as the pandemic subsided, and is now the Treasurer of OrigamiUSA with lots of new origami friends.
Publications
Jason published the book ORIGAMI MEMORIES in 2022. Available at the Origami Shop
