Daniela Carboni is an Italian origami creator and a member of Centro Diffusione Origami (1997-present).
She has a degree in aerospace engineering and is employed as the head of the Quality System Improvement department within the Italian aero industry.
Daniela started folding paper at age 3 and especially loved to fold paper boats and airplanes. She received her first origami book when she was 5 and has been creating her own origami models since 1994. At this time, Daniela has designed over 500 original models using varied techniques and types of paper.
Daniela’s preferred origami style is figurative, and she praises the most in creating origami with story behind the folds.
Publications
Instructions for her models have been included in convention books and periodicals published by a number of European Origami Associations. With Centro Diffusione Origami in particular, Daniela has published two booklets “Origami in ordine sparso” in 2007 and “Origami 2D” in 2016.
