Origami Video Tutorial – Crocus

A model design of Leyla Torres

An origami model of a Crocus flower designed by Leyla Torres

Do you like to fold origami flowers? You’re in luck! Here at Origami Spirit, we feature origami models we’re sure you’ll enjoy so be sure to visit the ORIGAMI FLOWERS FRUIT AND FOOD GALLERY.

In this origami video tutorial, you will learn how to fold a stylized origami Crocus. The model is made with two pieces of paper, one for the base (leaves) and another for the flower itself.

Although two pieces of paper are used to make this crocus, each piece is different in size and folding method and is considered a multi-piece origami model as opposed to modular origami.

This flower can be made with thin paper such as kami or tant. It’s ideal if the paper for the flower is the same color on both sides. The base can be green on one side, and white on the other.
