Here is a perfect container for Easter!
The Duck-on-a-Pond Drawer Box is a variation of the two-piece container, Boat Drawer Box. Both, the drawer and the sleeve, are made with square pieces of paper of the same size. The folding process to make the sleeve is very similar to that for the Boat Drawer Box, except for the final steps. Many variations are possible.
In addition, you can make a decorative two-color tail, or make a tail from a dollar bill or other paper currency which is a lovely way to leave a tip in a restaurant.

Tips and suggestions for making the Boat Drawer Box
- Use three pieces of paper, one for the sleeve, one for the drawer, and one for the tail. A good paper size to use when learning the model is 6 × 6-inch (15 × 15 cm)
- Kami paper, or maybe even thicker stock such as Tant paper, are good options for the body of the bird.
- The finished bird shows mainly one side of the paper with the reverse side color in the interior.
- The finished sleeve shows both sides of the paper.
