Seven Origami Archangels

A model design of Leyla Torres

Angels represent hope, love, and the triumph of good over evil. This origami archangel, designed by Leyla Torres is part of a group of figures related to the mythical stories of religion and culture.

The word Archangel aligns with the Greek origin of the word “angel” (ángelos), meaning “messenger.” Archangels are often described as “Beings of Light,” and are prominent figures in many religious and mythological traditions. These celestial entities are frequently portrayed as high-ranking divine messengers.

The concept of archangels as spiritual guides is often found outside a religious context in various forms of cultural expression including literature, music, and the visual arts.

  • Michael Blue / Sunday –The leader of all the holy angels
  • Jophiel Yellow / Monday –The angel of beautiful thoughts

  • Gabriel White / Wednesday –The angel of revelation
  • Raphael Green / Thursday –The angel of healing
