This origami Flawless Ball is another ingenious modular origami model created by Yossi Nir. We need 12 paper squares to create 6 modules, each module utilizes two squares. It is a pleasure to fold the modules and assembly is quite easy.
This perfect origami sphere is appropriate for a holiday ornament or a gift. There are many different papers you can use for limitless creativity. (Take a look at the tips and suggestions below).

Tips and suggestions for making the Flawless Ball
- The ball is made with SIX UNITS each requiring TWO pieces of paper.
- PAPER: (12) Twelve 4 x 4 inch (10 x 10 cm) 150-240 grams per square meter (gsm) (65-90 lb equivalent).
- For your first try, use thicker paper such as the following examples: Bristol Paper, Card Stock, Stardream Paper*
- Within the video, Yossi shows samples with different kinds of papers.
- The finished unit shows only one side of the paper.
- You might want to have three sets of two different colors.
- The picture above shows a ball made with red and two different green papers. This makes it suitable as an ornament for the Christmas Tree!
- The picture below shows a ball made with two solid red units, two silver units, and two silver/red patterned units.
