Paula Versnick, from Holland, created a two fold Santa which is considered a modern classic model. With its minimalistic elegance, this is one of my all-time favorite origami models.

The photo above shows a Christmas card I designed a while ago incorporating Paula’s charming model.

  • The card itself is made by cutting an 8.5×11 (US Letter size) piece of paper in half, then folding it in half again.
  • The trees are made out of kite bases.
  • The smaller tree is crowned with an Avery® Foil Star sticker (found in the US at stores such as Staples or Office Depot).
  • The British Origami Society has posted a nice video showing how to make the two-fold Santa (Thanks!).
